This piece has all matching serial numbers, which is unique for this model, with only the wedge having been replaced. Its serial number 14738 designates this as an 1852 production firearm. Although there are a considerable number of variations exist, there were four basic models of this revolver produced based on serial range, with this one falling into the third model group. This model revolver features a small, rounded brass trigger guard. The grips are one piece of varnished walnut. This revolver is 36 caliber with a six-shot cylinder and a 7 1/2“ octagonal barrel.
